Beckman Mill is a wonderful, historic site developed around a fully-restored, 19th century water-powered grist mill in southern Wisconsin. First settled in 1839, this site now includes historical buidlings and exhibits, a nature trail through restored oak savannah and the Welty Environmental Center. Vision Forge produced "The Real Life Advertures of a Wisconsin Mill'" a 54 minute documentary about the rich history of the people there, and the evocative, entertaining stories in this place's history and its restoration. At the October 2014 premiere, people were laughing and crying - for real. The doco has been selected for competition at the 2015 Beloit International Film Festival.
